In 2012, the Company celebrated 40 years since the founding of the legendary MUMMENSCHANZ - an important anniversary which the ensemble has celebrated with its audiences all over the world. The jubilee tour started in Zurich, Switzerland, at Theater 11 on October 4th, 2011.
The witty ideas of the group, founded in Paris in 1972 by Andres Bossard, Floriana Frassetto and Bernie Schürch, have been carrying away audiences all over the world. So much so that MUMMENSCHANZ has come to mean far more than a name. The work of the group has become a form of art which has put its mark on the Mime-Masque Theater, and impressed many generations of audiences.

Make no mistake, there are no sock puppets in this show! PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS begins where The Full Monty ends; with two naked penis puppeteers on stage presenting the ancient Australian art of genital origami with an astounding series of penis installations.
Requiring astonishing stamina, an unbelievable stretch factor and an amazing level of testicular fortitude, PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS leaves women and men gasping with more than 40 heroic and hilarious penis installations including the Pelican, The Windsurfer, The Eiffel Tower, Loch Ness Monster, and the signature installation, the Hamburger. Puppetry of the Penis has performed for star-studded crowds including Hugh Grant, Naomi Campbell, Posh Spice, Bono and Elton John.

The production Nomade is a night time carnival filled with song, dance and acrobatic feats. Though squabbles erupt, peace and harmony eventually prevail in this powerful exploration of the rituals of vagabond life. A seamless blend of the modern and the traditional, Nomade stars circus artists from across the globe who perform heart-stopping numbers on the bascule, the banquine and the Russian bar. This treat for the senses features a cast of colourful characters and spotlights the amazing virtuosity of circus artists in peak form.

Shaolin & Wudang - La otra cara de China es un espectáculo basado en la filosofía del budismo zen, y en las potentes técnicas de lucha y meditación de los maestros Shaolin y Wudang. Este nueva creación se distingue por su puesta en escena original que combina la tradición de ejercicios ancestrales y antiguos instrumentos musicales con elementos contemporáneos, proyecciones y originales efectos de iluminación.
El show presenta las tradicionales escuelas Shaolin y Wudang, en apariencia muy diferentes, pero son dos manifestaciones de una misma filosofía, nacida de la mística budista de la antigua China. Mientras que los monjes Shaolin se basan en formas de Kung-Fu, meditación zen y concienciación corporal para controlar su energía, los monjes Wudang desarrollan las artes marciales incorporando las teorías del Ying-Yang, el Tai Chi y la cosmología taoísta.
Con música en directo y quince actores / maestros sobre el escenario, el espectáculo viene avalado por rotundos éxitos de crítica y público desde hace 11 años.

Together they deliver an outstanding performance under the direction of Italian Director Andrea Liberovici who has paid attention to the finest details.
The set is carefully planned with superb use of light and sound effects as well as video projections that combine with and enhance the actor’s performance. This modern adaptation remains true to the essence of the Author’s original work using a language that is both intensely emotional and poetic.

Palestinian theatre company ShiberHur and the Young Vic came together in a unique collaboration to produce an astonishing new play by Amir Nizar Zuabi [the director of ‘Alive from Palestine’].
In 2010, Middle East peace negotiations are deadlocked. This powerful story – told from the Palestinian point of view – deals with the historic circumstances behind that deadlock. It is available to visit your city direct from touring Palestinian towns, villages and refugee camps in Galilee and the West Bank, as well as a rapturously sold out season in London at the Young Vic.
